The heavy-duty overhead conveyor can be flexibly arranged according to process requirements, allowing effective utilization of available space, significant manpower savings, and improved operational efficiency. Its main components include the chain, rails, carriers, support brackets, drive units, and tensioning units. The system is equipped with a variable frequency drive for precise speed control. It is widely used in long-distance workpiece transportation, floor-to-floor lifting, overhead accumulation, controlled feeding, and other process applications, including automated coating production lines.
This conveyor is a new generation Power & Free (P/F) overhead conveyor featuring a dual-track design. It consists of an upper power track and a lower free track, enabling the transport and storage of larger or heavier items. It supports high automation levels, a wide variety of materials, and complex process requirements.

Drive Unit
The drive unit serves as the power source for the conveyor system and is typically installed at the return section of the empty line. It consists of a drive frame, a dedicated geared motor, drive chain, drive sprockets, and overload protection devices. By employing a combination of large-pitch engagement and standard-pitch chain, the system achieves higher meshing precision and improved gear tooth root strength. This design also reduces drag, minimizes chain speed pulsation, extends service life, and enhances operational stability.
Tension Unit
Two types of tensioning devices are available: counterweight type and pneumatic type. The counterweight tension unit is characterized by its ability to automatically compensate for a wide range of tension load variations.

Track System
The track system of this heavy-duty overhead conveyor consists of dual rails. The upper power track is made of 10# I-beam, while the lower free track uses double 12# I-beams. The use of I-beam sections for the free track significantly increases both load-carrying capacity and track rigidity.
Track Switches
Track switches are divided into basic switches and checking switches. Basic switches include diverging switches (splitting one line into two) and converging switches (merging two lines into one). Based on chain travel direction, switches can also be categorized as straight-through or side-passing types.
Conveyor Chain
The chain assembly is composed of heavy-duty forged rivetless chains, trolleys, and wide pusher dogs.

Carrier Assembly
On each carrier, the load wheels are positioned in the center, while balance wheels and guide wheels are installed on both sides. This configuration minimizes frictional resistance during turning and improves tracking performance.
Multiple carriers can be coupled to form a linked set, typically consisting of a front carrier, a rear carrier, and a connecting bar. These multiple-carrier assemblies feature automatic accumulation and self-release functionality.
The front carrier is equipped with a rotating retractable dog and a rotating hold-back dog, with a self-resetting hold-back bar. A newly designed configuration integrates the jaw and retractable dog into a single unit, with a roller mounted at its end. This simplifies the structure, ensures smoother action, and enables low-friction accumulation. The rear carrier incorporates a wedge-shaped tail plate, over which the retractable dog of the front carrier climbs and lifts, allowing multiple carriers to accumulate in close formation.
Lubrication Device
To reduce running resistance, minimize component wear, and extend system service life, an automatic lubrication device is recommended. A multi-channel automatic lubrication unit is typically used for this purpose.
