Uses for E-Coating System
Our automotive e-coat systems have been widely installed throughout various automotive and general engineering sectors where a combination of corrosion protection and uniformity are very important when coating the part.
Excellent for high-volume production of chassis, suspension, engine bracket, and structural component parts; with the automated conveyor type systems (overhead monorail, power & free, and shuttle type) capable of producing between 500 and 5000 parts per shift are available giving steadily capable production rates.
Brakes, steering, transferring cases, and fasteners should all be applied with a uniform primer coat prior to a powder or top-coat application; therefore, the e-coat system will not be able to prevent part-edge painting and will build a consistent coating assuring long-term durability and adherence to automotive corrosion certification requirements.
A custom rack and or fixturing will allow processing of mixed part sizes and geometries through the same e-coat system thereby optimizing the processing utilization of each processing line and reducing the time in which parts are not being processed.
By using the electromigration/immersion process of e-coating, it will allow the coating to get into cavities and weld seams making it ideal for use in structural reinforcements and parts which are welded assemblies.
