The KTL coating line is run according to a controlled and multi-stage process to provide adhesion and durability:
Surface Cleaning
Oils, dirt, and other contaminants are removed from workpieces using suitable chemical cleaners; typically phosphates for steel & cast iron. Ultrasonic cleaning is used to ensure thorough removal of contaminants from intricate and complex parts.
Rinsing & Neutralization
Distilled water rinsing removes chemical residues and improves coating adhesion.
Wetting Agent Dip
Prevents bubble formation on part surfaces before immersion in the coating bath, reducing surface defects.
Electrophoretic Deposition
Parts are submerged in the KTL coating bath. Electrical current triggers a chemical reaction that deposits a uniform resin layer.
Oven Curing
The coated parts are baked to harden the film, forming a tough and glossy protective finish.
