Advantages of E-Coat Line

Uniform and complete coverage

Advanced use of cathodic/anodic e-coating technology produces a consistent film thickness between 15 and 25 µm, even on complex geometries and hard-to-reach areas.

Greater corrosion resistance

The combination of phosphate pretreatment and epoxy-based e-coat chemistry provides extensive corrosion resistance for chassis, brackets and structural components.

Automatic and energy-efficient operation

The e-coat system features integrated PLC and SCADA control, ultrafiltration recovery system for reuse of wash water and optimized curing oven design to minimize waste of both e-coat material and operating costs.

Uses for E-coat Line

Our automotive e-coat systems have been widely installed throughout various automotive and general engineering sectors where a combination of corrosion protection and uniformity are very important when coating the part.

Automotive OEM and Tier-1 Production

Excellent for high-volume production of chassis, suspension, engine bracket, and structural component parts; with the automated conveyor type systems (overhead monorail, power & free, and shuttle type) capable of producing between 500 and 5000 parts per shift are available giving steadily capable production rates.

Safety Critical Parts

Brakes, steering, transferring cases, and fasteners should all be applied with a uniform primer coat prior to a powder or top-coat application; therefore, the e-coat system will not be able to prevent part-edge painting and will build a consistent coating assuring long-term durability and adherence to automotive corrosion certification requirements.

Handling Mixed Parts

A custom rack and or fixturing will allow processing of mixed part sizes and geometries through the same e-coat system thereby optimizing the processing utilization of each processing line and reducing the time in which parts are not being processed.

Body-In-White and Other Structural Assemblies

By using the electromigration/immersion process of e-coating, it will allow the coating to get into cavities and weld seams making it ideal for use in structural reinforcements and parts which are welded assemblies.
