How does an E-Coating Line differ from a CED Coating System?

CED Coating is a process used in conjunction with the E-Coating Process. However, most of the modern automotive ED Coating Lines utilize, a superior corrosion barrier.

Can you process many different sized parts on an ED Line, with one production run?

Yes, by using proper racking and rack design, you can process many types of part configurations together in one run without negatively impacting the coating quality.

What is the range of possible film thickness?

The film thickness range normally is between 15 and 25 um; however, thickness can be adjusted to provide corrosion resistance requirements.

Are E-Coating lines environmentally safe?

Yes, because all coatings are water-based and will result in significantly less concentrated waste, and with the closed-loop rinse system in place, all paints and chemicals used will be disposed of in an environmentally safe manner.
